Lesa L. Parker is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who received her Master of Science degree in School Psychology and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California University of Pennsylvania. She went on to study Community Counseling at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Parker has been working in the behavioral health field for over 16 years, taking an eclectic approach in providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has worked in a variety of programs, including Outpatient Mental Health, Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services, Family-Based Therapy, School-Based Counseling, Residential Treatment for Adults, Extended Acute Care Treatment, Dual Diagnosis Recovery, Managed Care, Preschool, and Group Home settings. She also has supervisory, training, and program development experience.
Areas of interest include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, anger management, emotional abuse, forgiveness, stress management, grief, trauma, social skills, mental health with substance abuse, behavior issues, attention disorders, weight management, wellness, couples issues, family issues, self-esteem, and intellectual disabilities.
